Are you ready to join a creative team?
The story lives in your head, breathes in your heart and consumes your daydreams. What's the best way to tell your tale? Join an artistic community at The Shire and bring your idea from creative thought to published creation. Open to sixth through twelfth grades, Shire opportunities will challenge you to take your writing to the next level and inspire you to be a part of a writing community. Because we value building relationships as much as learning creative writing skills, team size is limited. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how best to become involved.
Classes are held at The Shire's shared space at the Zephyr Studio (HUSH) OR at Art Reach St. Croix (Project Boom Site)

Write and perform #HUSHpodcast as a live show at the Phipps
Saturdays from 9 to 12 in the Shire’s classroom at the Zephyr Studio - ongoing, so join now!
The Shire’s Audio Drama team has written eight episodes in their sci-fi podcast series HUSH, and the finale will be performed and recorded live on July 27th, 7 PM at The Phipps. Join a creative team that includes writers, composers, musicians, sound effect artists, actors and illustrators to write episode 9 and develop season 2. Write the script, create the sound effects, compose the music, play the songs and act the roles - step in wherever your interests lie. We’re partnering with the Stillwater Native American Advisory Committee to create a world based on an authentic native culture. In addition to the current HUSH team, a new middle school group will be forming to develop their own side story to HUSH. Subscribe to #HUSHpodcast on iTunes, Stitcher and GooglePlay Music.
